Another start of the week and the plans for this week is:
1. Wiring for M-DCT knob 2. Illuminated door sills 3. Alarm 4. Wheels Still no engine mods done to this car at all in case BMWNA, yeah, I'm talking about you, is watching the progress. To do list: 1. Refinish M-Tech rear bumper, Hamann side skirts for better paint match 2. 35% Llumar ATX tint?

Update: All mods are on hold until further notice
Bummer: CA and remote lock / unlock failure http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146121 Last week, we had the illuminated doorsills, and M-DCT knob installed. Since the wiring is slightly different on the '08, the DCT knob is not fully functional yet, i.e. it would not light up in the dark when the headlights are on. This needs to be worked on next time my car goes to the shop. The illuminated doorsills are awesome though, just like the AMG sills that I used to have on the E55. Also decided to keep the nice wheels for show only, will probably be running around town in a set of OE E46 M3 ZCP rims. These are 19X8 ET47 front and 19X9.5 ET27 rear. I love the concavity of the rear rim and no replica can match that to date. Probably require some TLC before everything will fit right (front spacers, rear fender rolling, etc). The guys at BPG are ready to tackle this. Side skirts still need to be repainted for better paint match, planning to give them my rear bumper as the color swatch this time coz I don't have my car right now. This thing has also been sitting in my living room for a couple days now: Giant Behemoth sitting on my living room floor Exposed a little bit Weave revealed: Need to get that custom painted and installed as well. Still no word on the ETA of Hamann front bumper that is shown in my Avatar. Patiently waiting the response from Lewis@MWDesign. The V35 hood is currently in production according to JLeviSW. Once those pieces are in, my exterior transformation will be 90% complete. A couple more mods will complete the look. I finally decided on the tint. I'm going for the Formula 1 Pinnacle ceramic based tint (35% film, MA legal). The dealer is in ME so it's gonna be quite a drive (2 hrs each way). However, the quality of the film should be well worth the hike. Need to tape up the car the night before though..... Sorry for the lack of progress, but can't do much when the electrical system went offline on its own.....

Need to block some of the ugly green hue on the BMW glass. The Mercedes glass has a cooler blue hue to them, which IMHO looks better than the BMW glass. The F1 film is charcoal in color so that would serve the purpose.

Car is fully back in action after the dealership figured out what is wrong with the CA / remote. It's a faulty module which caused a blown fuse in the antenna circuit. Everything was covered under warranty.
Since this week is over, so almost everything will have to be postponed to next week. Next week's plan: (not in any particular order) 1. Follow-up with Lewis@MWDesign for Hamann front bumper status 2. Install newly refinished side skirts and Vorsteiner trunk 3. Formula One Pinnacle 35% ceramic tint 4. Finish OEM alarm install (for dealer activation) 5. OEM E46 M3 ZCP wheels installation 6. Rewiring of M5 knob

Those are the PIAA's you have installed in these pics right? Do they look just as blue from the front? Can you take a couple pics from the front? I'm trying to decide on the Bellof's or PIAA's. Bellof's seem brighter but they aren't plug n' play like the PIAA's. I really just want to go with the one that's more blue but at the same time VERY easy to install.

I think both Bellof and PIAA are about as bright, but Bellof you need to wire in the resistor yourself. Nope, those are 19" OEM E46 M3 ZCP rims. Quote:

Updates with a better camera, but still poor lighting......
Here's a little teaser of the M5 knob, final debut to follow with the OEM CF trim.

Newly added to the list: Need to finish installing the OEM CF trim on Friday though, along with the illuminated sunglass tray mod.
