How good is your mpg?

Based upon actual gas consumed, NOT based on the computer. What are your mods?

Mixed driving:
- 26 mpg with JB+, DCI and Solenoid Bypass
- 23 mpg with PROcede Rev II and DCI (it's worth it)

A better FMIC and Catless DP's are soon on, which will not help mpg :-)

average about 19-20mpg (310-330miles a tank). Doing mostly local and some highway. 6MT car.

You should note what cars are 6MT vs 6AT. The 6AT cars will get slightly less mpg

I drove 340 miles twice at 80+ on cruise and got about 28mpg each time. That was with some city driving as well.
Still had some gas to spare when I filled up. Calculated actual consumption, no computer. JB3 Rev 8.4 Map 5

In the city I get about 18 - 19mpg and usually 300 miles to the tank, usually pushing the car pretty good.

norcal to socal, up to 100s every now n then, steady 85-90mph: 28mpg

after 3.08-3.46 final drive upgrade: -1 to -2mpg
after re-11 and re01rs + wider wheels upgrades: -2mpg

I get around 20 mpg in the warm months (about 320mi per tank) and about 18.5 or so in winter in almost 50/50 (cty/hwy) mixed driving. The reason is my car is mostly driven short distances/times; about 25min and 12-15miles. So I barely get warmed up (oil temp) before reaching most destinations in cold months here in CT.

It surprises me that much fuel economy is wasted by the colder temps. It was the same stock and with the JB3.

Note I have a 335xi which costs about 1mpg on hwy vs a 335i.

I also wondered if the EPA stats from the Fed are taking 10% ethanol into account or not as ethanol (in theory) knocks off about 6% of your mileage vs straight gasoline.

Driving from here to the Sacramento Racetrack is around 400 miles. I almost make it there on 1 tank. Yesterday I took about a 30mile highway trip, reset the trip computer from start to finish I got 28mpg. Just JB3, map#7. 91 octane.

what's funny is that most mods improve mpg, but b/c they also make you faster, you end up consuming for fuel cuz it's fun. The best fuel saver is the relationship between your brain and your foot.

Last trip to Stuttgart, I was cruising around 100-110 mph and averaged 22-23mpg. I thought that was pretty good.

I'm running Procede only.

Thanks all! It looks like fuel economy is fairly consistent at around 26-28 mpg w/ mostly highway driving.
