Power washing incident: right through clear coat and paint

I was power washing my wheels, knowing I shouldn't wash any part of my car with paint on it with my 2200 psi power washer. But it became increasingly tempting as I was washing my wheels. So I started to power wash my headlights and then I noticed a small spot on the right side of my front bumper. I took the power washer to it and next thing I know this happens (see pictures)

Anyone know if there is a cheap fix for this? It's not huge but even from a distance it's very obvious. I really take good care of my 06' 325xi, but I unfortunately got carries away with the damn power washer and ended up with this...
Any help would be awesome, thanks in advance!

Wow you shouldn't powerwash your wheels either...at this point you've probably stripped all the clear off. For the bumper you can't really do much other than touch it up with some paint. Not really worth repainting the entire bumper

Wow! Not good. I doubt touch up paint will work. The blemish is too large and you probably loosened the paint surrounding the blemish also. You will probably need to get that spot repainted.

Yea the only reason the paint peeled was because there was an existing scratch in the paint...that I unfortunately wasn't aware of. So, your saying my best bet is to take it to a paint shop?

I would try touching it up first. It's low enough that nobody is really going to notice and if you don't like it, you're only out a couple of lunches.

What??? I use the pressure washer to get all the bugs and dirt off the front and the rocker panels every time I wash before I foam it up.

That paint was already peeling, the washer just broke up what was already loose.

coupe of things. bumpers and paint hate each other. they stick but not as well as on metal. so thats why your paint peeled. i powerwash at car wash all the time. but not sure on psi of those nozzles.
regards to touchup. well its very difficult to get silver metallic to sit correct even spraying it. non the less brushing it. just remember to do lite coats. this will prevent running down the bumper.

true, and do not try to spray just that place, i did it on my TiAg e92 i had some tiag paint and masked of the spot and sprayed it. It looked horrible. Silver I'm mostly metallic and thats what gives it its color, you even spray it on at a different angle and its another color. only when the whole bumper is painted does it look good because all way don't in the same directions. just use some touch paint and go little by little. then maybe buff it if it looks too rough.

Thanks for the responses...the dealership used some touch up paint on it and didn't charge me a dime! I still have to buff it and then apply clear coat, but it's a nice temporary fix that I didn't have to pay for!
