I live in TC so I drive on N. Lantau. There's actually a few spots to look out for especially on this bridge. Going westbound towards the airport, it's the bridge before you see Caribbean Coast / Coastal Skyline estates.

Then there's this photo box which always trigger my radar after Sunny Bay.

The police hiding behind bushes is the westbound on-ramp infront of Caribbean Coast. They also hide on the round-about bridge there.

Yeah, they maybe good drivers, skill-wise, but they have very little margin for error. They may think they are so good that accidents won't ever happen to them. But it only take a slight mistake or a little understeer here or there for them to screw up...and if they drive like that frequently, then eventually a crash will happen. Which is why it's best to do this stuff on track and not on public roads, at least you won't endanger yourself to others...which goes back to the question of getting a decent track in HK...

Yeah I see the police on that bridge alot, but my understanding is that they are there mostly for visual deterrence only (or catching the speedsters who were tagged by the police behind the bush). But then, I still don't get what the police is doing behind the bush without a radar...or maybe they are just catching some "zer wong time" or unauthorized break, hahaha.

My lawyer friend said that the police will have to show evidence of your speeding in court anyway (if you choose to contest the ticket) so she said she didn't see any reason why the police would be so secretive in hiding the speed you were caught on radar from you. Of course, some police are just jerks and won't show it to you, but I suppose if you ask nicely then they could show it to you...

Thought they will tell your speed and where at the spot

From my...ahem...experience, yes, the police usually do that. But the question was asking about whether you can ask the police to show the radar gun with the speed you were caught at.

No problem, anytime.

Although from the sound of it, this might be more of a discretionary right on the part of the police then a absolute right (as in the police must show the radar gun to you in any circumstances).
