As for the Individual Audio, I found it in Czech Reuplic and I had it imported in. Incredibly expensive (1.2k EUR) but it came complete & with the loom which is a very rare find, as most morons who remove them just cut all the plugs off!!! Fitting tomorrow, but will have to see how long it takes, as the headlining has to come out!!!! |

I love it too, the fog delete was my main motivation to get it to be honest! The bumper seems to sit higher than M Sport though. No bad thing with a lowered car, but I think I'll get the splitters for it at some point! |

Yea that's not cheap I'm guessing it's the equivalent of the Locic 7 I had in my 135i? Or is it better then that? I've been toying with the Alpine upgrade with logic 7 subs. |

However, the amp is significantly more powerful, and the speakers (with the exception of the roof lining speakers) are all different. The mids / subs have yellow hexacone membranes - which are meant to provide a better sound than the likes of L7. Its over 800w of power. Alpine with L7 subs is what is coming out of my car tomorrow - a very good system, but I've had cars with full Harmon Kardon before, and I'm left wanting more from the Alpine and L7 sub combo! |

The parts can indeed be ordered from BMW, however I'd imagine it would be over £3k in parts alone!
You would also still have the problem of the loom too - it's totally different compared to the stick audio. |

OK, so another update.
The Individual Audio is in.... well all but the two rear headlining speakers - thats a job for another day, as its going to be a big job! Two of us worked on the install from 7:30 this morning until just before 4pm, so you can get an idea of how much work is required! Everything is coded, and working - I now have surround option and also the equaliser on the CIC screen. I also bought the Individual Audio door trims too to finish the job off, bloody expensive but worth it for a factory install look. Pics - as you can see most of the interior had to come out, and there were lots and lots of wires!! |

Amazing as always buddy! What are you going to do with your Alpine Hifi & L7 system? It would be so much work when you return the car to stock when you come to sale it...

Alpine system & L7 subs will be sold, need to recoup some of the outlay for this!
Ideally if I ever sell the car I would return it back to stock, but labour costs to remove it all again would have to be considered! They way I have the car now though makes me want to hold onto it for the long term! |

Next job is to recover the bank balance, followed by painting the stock M Sport diffuser B27 dark shadow metallic (same as the new F series cars) Ideally I want new tips or a 335 style exhaust - but not sure thats maybe the wrong way to go with this build as its very subtle. Long term I need to address the drivers seat bolster wear (shocking for 37k miles!) and the bonnet could do with painting to be brand new again - the new bumper has highlighted the stone chips even more for my OCD! |

Your car looks horrid! You should sell it to me!!! I love what you have done with your car. I have to say it's the best built on here. Very jealous of you.

I do use this daily for a 45 mile a day commute, so it's hard to keep it show condition, but I'm happy with the balance of mods and practicality at the mo! I want to get to some shows this year if I can! Cheers mate! Nearing completion, dare I say?! |
