A custom tune from someone else's car is going to do no better on your car than the OTS map. In fact it may be worse. I didn't direct you to a tuner because you didn't ask for one. You asked for a map. Everyone is trying to help you but you're just getting hostile for no reason. I realize you're new here but you're not doing yourself any favors.

If that's not enough, you're looking at a custom tune. I'm not sure you're going to going to find anyone who'll share their custom maps with you for free, and if even you could, there is no guarantee that it'll make your particular car run any better. You're also not going to find a reputable tuner who will work for free, so if you want to do it right, just pony up the $$ and work with one of the great tuners who have worked hard to enhance this platform, like Justin at Twisted.
As I stated earlier sir, Please read before you type. I said, " I would pay but if you don't mind copying and pasting a file and sending a email for free I don't mind that either. So thank you sir and have a nice day

It really blows my mind how people have nothing else to do but troll a forum. if you DONT have the answer then DONT respond. Simple

Thanks for trolling. now if you have a tuners name and information for a custom tune I think your response would actually be worth something. Until then thanks, I shouldnt have to go in depth to explain myself or what im doing but in todays trolls everyone wants to have an opinion but never a suggested answer. Its simple good day sir

Just buy a custom tune from Justin HERE. His prices are very reasonable for what you get and are in line with the market cost of this sort of service.
Exactly.. I say willing to pay and all your focused on is the word " Free " even though it wasn't used in my sentence. Its cool bro I understand , Troll on and thanks for the delayed info +1

There are many, many, many variables in a custom tune. FBO on one car does not perform the same as FBO on another. A custom tune dials in perfectly on the environment the vehicle resides in as well.

It sounds like you expect someone to send you a custom tune that they paid for. Goodluck with your search, but you might want to research some tuners or look into a JB4 BEF that you can optimize with free tuning support from BMS.
To explain this once and once for all, im looking for a custom tune map from another FOB N55. im willing to pay for tune but also if its free I don't mind. Me and my guys in the community have an idea that we want to try and It doesn't have to be explained by any of the trolls in this post. If you have someone (tuner) let it be known. if you just want to exercise your fingers there's a website for words per minute on google. Good Day

People telling you that what you're looking for isn't reasonable or possible isn't trolling, it's called honesty. The truth hurts sometimes.

Appreciate all the help and two cents. But ive received the map I asked for and car is running great after map tweaks. Someone always has to do something different or first in order to be wrong to others. But I guess its just the community, Wonder if budget bimmers received this much hate after that 700 to the wheel, Oh well... Thread CLOSED ( for me anyway )

Based on my research, I would suggest a custom tune from Twisted or Motiv.

Building on this topic, how much improvement (HP and Tq gain) is a N55 FBO custom map over the Stage 2+ on MHD?

Depends on fuel. 100% e85? Meth? Your tuner can answer that question better than any forum jockey.

Regular fuel. 93 octane with up to 10% ethanol

Probably not a huge amount on the n55.

On the n54 there are definitely gains especially with inlets and outlets on pump 93 vs. an OTS MHD tune. Like normally you are at 400/450 and I think the highest on 93 custom BuraQ tune was like 425whp/475wtq. So, fair gains for $250 bucks.

N55 the gains would be less. If you want the max HP & TQ from your car a custom tune is the only way to go. Especially as you add in E85 and meth etc.

It's not going to be like going from stock to tune with a custom tune if you already are MHD2+.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, the n55 is a great and reliable motor. Makes sense the N54 would be able to produce more power. I'm content with my MHD 2+ on N55. Anyone can comment if they feel otherwise...

How to become a new bmw tuner in 3 easy steps:

1) Charge $200 instead of the usual $250 for a custom tune.
2) Post on facebook while having no website, official business address, etc.
3) Promise your tunes are better than everyone else's.

Well that gave me a chuckle!

Or what Mr. big internet tough guy? You going to hope on a plane and beat up everyone who makes fun of you. Start with me, Boston MA. I'll meet in you in the common.

The fact you would believe a tuner, who has access to all the same variables as the other tuners, is somehow going to magically make your car 'the fastest of all the stage 2 n55s' shows you are either gullible or lack the ability to critically think thing through. Not sure which is worse.

My advice, ditch that tuner ASAP and go with someone well known who is not going to blow smoke up your ass.

Here's what I have to say and I don't need to resort to cursing someone out: It is very clear that you are inexperienced with your car's platform and drivetrain and I think it is in your best interest to do a lot of homework to educate yourself on the potential gains from your motor and what it will take to get there. I would also suggest being skeptical when vendors make wild claims about their work or products. I only want for you to enjoy your ride for as long as it makes you happy without creating mechanical, driveability, or durability issues for yourself.

I truly wish you a wonderful day.

Hello There,

First of all thank you so much for being that polite unlike a lot of people here, and yeah you're right i'm still new in the field, i just want to clarify something to you, i had a race with golf GTI downpipe and tune, from that experience i understood that the tuner is a pro and i was very transparent when i said that the tuner is promising something, thank you understanding.

Have a good day!
