I saw this in BMW CAR Magazine and went for that look with the standard SE bumper.............
So here is my take on it chaps.................... The whole aim of the project was to get the conversion at a sensible price................. I looked into the whole changing bumpers - to the M sport(which would probably need painting) - and then a diffuser.............. and then an expensive Bastuck/Milltek etc etc system and by the time you've blinked you've easily spent £1500-£2000 My system was made on site to fit for £350 - all stainless |

The boot spoiler is an Aero.......... I prefer them to the boot lip
I just cut my standard bumper............. But before i did, i bought a used but perfect original bumper in the right colour from a true Gent - Jeff/Acerboo on this forum........... so if i change my mind i can have my original pipes welded back on and put the fresh bumper on............. so its completely reversible...... PS......... they're NOT tips............... The original back boxes were removed and new stainless silencers fitted with the dual exits welded to them..........

Given that what i thought was a ridiculously small size of silencer - it sounds pretty much like the standard system but theres just a little extra bark/rasp......... Which was what i was after - no horrid drone when you're on the M/way..........! Last edited by ibanezking; 05-25-2010 at 04:02 PM.. |
