I think Craig (Flyingdwarf) is going to try & find out about that, but if anyone else knows the area then that would help.

Any other ideas?
I forgot I offered to do that. I havent organised anything yet, but I will I promise. Dont let me forget though! Just need to make a few phone calls to the people I know from round there and see what they know. Anyway, counting the days! Just hope it is sunny like today.

I've spoken to some of the other members & we intend travelling down to Donington in a northern convoy!

Paul (1stnewcar), Craig (Flyingdwarf) & I (vivekk) will be meeting up somewhere along the A1 route & joining the M18-M1 to head south to Donington Park on the morning of Sat April 22nd.

It would be great to have more members joining us.

Having a whole line of e90s travelling south along the M1 would look really sweet!

If anyone else is up for joining us, then just PM me or the others.

All the best.

Viv

Do you reckon we could arrange a police escort for this convoy. Clear all the rubbish out of the fast lane and reserve it for E90's.

By the way Vivekk and Paul, I saw a Range Rover Sport unmarked police car, grey I think, just south of Wetherby a few months back so keep your eyes peeled. Looked fully speced as well, with massive alloys, similar grey colour to the car itself. You would never think it was a cop car. Glad to see my tax is going to a good cause.

There's a Volvo S80/S60 in silver kicking around the A64 aswell (Seen it twice around Tadcaster and once in York). Coppers - that is...

Paddy, its the same bout, its just one lifelong continual bout.

Surely they would still be called the boys in blue if it werent for the thought police (who have no specific colour) preventing us from calling them boys, since some are in fact girls, and hence this would be sexist. Maybe the girls should wear pink.

Click HERE for an online flyer for the meet.

It uses Flash, so if there's any problems- let me know.
You can move each of the little windows around to wherever you want.
There's a few links in the windows. If they don't work for you- let me know.

Hope you like it.

All the best.

Viv, you have outdone yourself, and clearly got too much time on your hands. Unfortunately the heart ruled the head this weekend and I took the BM. Fortunately nobody saw fit to do any damage to it. End result - what a great weekend of driving. Spent 10 hours in the car this weekend and what a blast. Made the journey to London and back positively effortless compared to the Golf. It has now had a nice run in as well, although it was a bit of a strange drive back with the weather. Did everyone else get the hail? I was the slowest guy on the motorway. Didnt want to hurt the poor thing with any high speed impacts.

Thanks FD.
I'm a kid at heart really & just like playing!

I'm glad you had no problems taking the e90 to London. The car really is comfortable on longer journeys. There was hail up here as well, inbetween rain & sunshine!

I hope more members join our convoy- it would make the drive down even more enjoyable!

Countdown to the first UK meet- 13 days!
