Are Bmw heated sport seats heavier than non heated sport seats?

No, The heaters weigh next to nothing.

And BTW, ALL Sport sears have heaters, and all the wiring, installed. If the car was ordered without heaters, they simply don't install the switches.

You have a source on this? I've looked into interior swaps and heard the opposite; some posters had to pull back the leather coverings to install heating elements

Yes, me too. Not ordering heated seats is my only regret with my e92. If I could remedy that by installing some wiring/switches, that would be amazing.

It is dead simple to determine whether ANY seat has a heater - Just look! Is there a wiring harness and connector on the bottom? If so, the heater is installed. If not, there is no heater installed.
