I really wish they'd develop something for the GM transmission in the N52

It isn't as widely a used transmission as the ZF's are, so not much incentive for anyone.

FYI, XHP was developed by a small group of motivated BMW owners. You can read about the project in the E90 Diesel section. "Transmission remap".

If you could recruit a few talented owners, you could probably develop a tune yourselves. It's been done before.

I did all of the tuning myself, way before Xhp had anything for this gearbox. I think they just released this tune.

I like the tune approach we have taken with this tune as it does not apply any trickery to the TCU programs. It's a simple 'signed' calibration file that the TCU treats as a OEM tune. There is no need to read back up files or keep registrations on hand held devices.

I was surprised by how much faster you can get this gearbox to shift. The Torque Converter lock up points are pretty fun to adjust as well. With my old E85, the stock shift points were pretty good. I only needed to move up the max RPMs to 7,050 or so pending on the gear.
quick question, looking to service my automatic transmission in a week or so. I have an 07 328xi. Do I have the GA6HP19 or the GA6L45R? can't find any threads that explain how to figure that out... and do the two transmissions use different filters ? trying to figure out whats different about the service kits listed on FCP euro and ECS...

I'm confused. I checked their support page and it seems like lots of N52 builds are now supported - or am I missing something?

I’ve had for 8 months now. Can’t complain about much- I keep in sport mode most of the time. I have 6th gear lock out which gets annoying on the highway sometimes, but I just manually shift to 6th.

Autoblip works well. If you listen closely, the up shifts have a slight “fart” noise heard in modern transmissions.

If you get the customizable license like I did, you can choose your shift points. Sometimes up shifts are a bit rough, but when you hit the shift point pre-assigned they’re smooth and quick.

I have XI, launches are aggressive- I don’t do them- I did a few once I enabled the feature; but it sounds like I’m adding extra strain on the drivetrain. The most I’ll do is brake stand to 1200-1500rpm and then launch, but I have the ability up to 2200. I have tried to download the xDelete app to remove AWD, but the second hand android I purchase keeps crashing at app launch. Once I get the app working, I’m interested to see how xHP and xDelete transforms the driving dynamics.

The early 325i (I believe incorrectly labeled here as 328i had the zf trans so they are similar to 335i. They still show no options for the GM trans unless I’m missing something?

A few North American E92/93 328i got the ZF, but they are not common.

For a 2009 328i N52, what gets you to the 268hp vs 255hp spec? I did 3sim and 330 tune.
