Suggestions for an aftermarket oil cooler lines?

My original cooler lines have a pinhole leak, shot oil all over my engine. While I am cleaning up the mess, I am looking to order some aftermarket lines. Any suggestions? Should I upgrade the cooler while I am at it?

I am running FBO MHD Stage 2+

Thank you

After doing some digging, I come to find out there are no aftermarket lines. I can lines, however I'd need an AN10 adapter. Which is $60 alone. I'd like to keep my OEM cooler if possible.

Why not buy used replacement lines?

I suppose if you really want to cheap out on it you could just remove the lines and plug the ports. My 2007 was built before they introduced the oil coolers and i've never had much issue with temps in South Louisiana, Texas, or SoCal...

I thought about buying new OEM lines, but wanted something shiny. End up getting some AN10 braided lines and 2 adapters, for a total cost of $75. I'll post some pictures once complete.

Finally got my oil cooler lines installed. Wasn't too happy with the quality of adapters, they were quite flimsy and came with the wrong size o-rings. Had to improvise a bit which to me seems a bit hokey. However after so far no leaks, but we'll see how they hold up over time. Here's some pictures.

Those look good! Mind sharing the links to where you bought the stuff?

Nice one OP! Were nylon cased lines an option? They're a bit better looking and have less propensity to wear thru items they touch.

Also interested in links, this would be ideal to run a dual cooler in line with the stock one (I'm in the market for a secondary cooler rn and can't find too many options)

Everything was bought on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07ZM...b_b_asin_title

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07HT...b_b_asin_title

I had to cut and fit the hoses, fan was not easy to position back in place. I removed the boost canisters and bracket as well to gain better access.

You can get better quality adapter on ECS tuning, however it's about $60 for 1.

Looks great! Making me want to attempt, what lengths did you cut the hoses to? Seems around 18" and 24" but what did you use? Also did you not see a good way to route the further hose up and over sorta as oem so the fan shroud had more room, or the bend would have been to much there?

Can you send the link for their adapter?

Got it, thanks so much! So the adapters on the oil thermostat housing and the adapter to the oil cooler fittings are the same piece? Sounds like I just pick a cooler and go from there. Maybe with a bit more research I'll be ready to give it a shot

I just eye balled it, had to cut them to size several times. I'll go back and measure for ya. [edit: They were indeed about 18"] The part that got in the way the most was the AN fitting itself, they were both 90 degrees and had to face slightly forward to fit. To cut I used electrical tape and a hand saw. There are better methods if you have the right tools, but I was too lazy to go to the hardware store. I used this Youtube video as a guide.

You can see just how close the fittings are to the fan and why one has to turn out a little bit to fit. Don't mind the scuffs I used an adjustable wrench to tighten these. Again was few beers in and too lazy to go to the hardware store.

Adapters are the same, if you go with an aftermarket cooler then you'll only need one adapter for the OFH > AN10 as the aftermarket cooler will already have male AN10 threads.

Well it hasn't been long and I can already see oil around the oil cooler inlet that wasn't there before. So these adapters are trash. Do this at your own risk. Looks like I will be purchasing OEM lines after all.

I got two adapter, one of them came with o rings that were too small so I used oem. Other one came with the right size rings, however I think that's the one leaking.

I think I figured out why yours was leaking, the threaded hole on the oil cooler is raised a little bit which causes the adapter to not fully clamp the fittings down. I'm going to try to grind the adapter or put two gaskets.
