Window Tint Recommendation DC / NOVA Area

Im not to sure about diffrent kinds of tint. The shop I was going to said they have 3m tint?

I went to National Glass Tinting in Kensington, and the owner (Marc, great guy) ended up painting over my dot matrix on the inside, and then tinted the window. It looks PERFECT, and IMO much better than the vinyl. cgtsx07 I am one of the college park tuning officers and my car was there at the meet, you must have missed it.

I highly recommend this shop, they are very good, and did a great job on my 335.

I went to LA Tint in Manassas. I paid extra for the "pinnacle" tint, but I
was impressed with their work. They've been in business almost 20 years
and really seem to know their craft. I kept it legal for VA, but they'll
pretty much go as dark as you want.

What did they charge you? Their site just quoted me $350 for pinnacle tint?

Some of it may be sales pitch, I'm no expert on tint. Click that link that I posted about the pinnacle tint, they go into detail a little bit about the benefits of it relating to your GPS and other electronic systems.

don't get a metallic tint, it may interfere with GPS/radar

Well I will be getting my tint done at Driven Dynamics on the 20th They did a test on a someone's e92 and it came out really nice so Im going to give it a try also. Just have to figur out what % to go on my AW e92. I will post how it turns out. they will be doing vinyl on the rear window only

How did it go? Did you pay 189 or 229? I am thinking of taking our 335 there too.

I took my E90 to Driven Dynamics. 4th car I've taken there. Turned out great for me! I got 20%.

I got the standard metallic 20% tint. I'm not going to share my price, only because I'm friends with the owner. I'm pretty sure standard tint is $189, and the non-metallic is $229 though.
