It is direct fit, do not worry.

Looks like the Monroe front mount is 903918 and their rear lower shock mount is 907985. The Sachs SAC-803006 front mount is only a couple bucks more though than the Monroe part and their rear lower shock mount is actually a couple bucks more than the Lemforder LEM-3539801 or Rein CRP-AVQ0420P parts so I'm not sure if there is much point in going with Monroe for either of those.

Sorry that analogy is little silly. Price is not and should not be solely determining factor when deciding on purchase.

I'm having these installed on my 2011 335d M Sport this weekend. Will advise as to the effectiveness on the "bouncy rear" issue I have been seeing.

My struts in rear are shot too, so no telling what just this will do. I will report though.

I am aware of this - the point I was trying to make was that the rear lower mount and front mounts do not appear to be super unique like the Monroe rear upper mounts so why bother? Sachs, Lemforder, and Rein are all good brands and make plenty of OE equipment so just get whatever is available. Plus weeehe126 reported breaking loose one of the nuts from the rubber on the Monroe rear lower mount which is concerning.

Just to note the front Monroe mounts are the non-sport mounts. I think the only difference is the alignment pin. But with lemforder being OEM the price difference wasn't bad for me.

The Monroe is more solid, little harder runner. Regarding the loose the nut, well that is why it is a nut, you are suppose to use thin wall socket on top when loosening or tightening the inverted torque bolt from the bottom.

Any chance you have the p/n handy for the lemforder fronts? Im at 75k km, should i replace my stock strut mounts(front) or just swap them over to the new suspension?

Is there any other wear and tear part to replace in the front? (Maybe the spring pad under the top hat?)

Thanks

Even if they'll last a bit longer you should replace the strut mounts with the new struts. They run about $50 each - I just purchased these ones from Sachs: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-sachs-803-006 (Sachs and Lemforder are both under ZF Group I believe)

I also grabbed new bump stops, dust boots, lower/upper spring pads, and there is a little sealing washer that is apparently supposed to be replaced as well. When I sent my cart to FCPEuro sales to double check they also suggested I replace the actual nut/bolt that secure the strut in the knuckle. RealOEM is also handy for parts hunting: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=31_0716

ECStuning also seems to have a kit that has more or less everything for front and rear. Dunno how good Vaico strut mounts are though...
https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-32...Kit/ES2966635/

I might order and give the Monroe rear shock mounts a shot in another 50k miles. These seem like a better option than polyurethane mounts from PowerFlex which have a reputation for squeaking. I find it interesting though that Monroe essentially made a performance sport part but they just advertise and price it like a standard aftermarket replacement.

At right around 50k miles, Harold only recommended me to do the front strut mounts and the rear upper shock mounts (also the lower shock mounts but he said they rarely go bad). Everything else is most likely overkill at only 50k.i

It's probably overkill but I'd rather do too much than too little. I intend to get as much out of these new Bilstein B6 shocks as I can - maybe replace the squishy OE rear shock mounts later on with the Monroe ones.

Attached are my OE shocks and hardware at 46k miles. They were in okay condition aside from being dirty. That little metal insert that goes in the rear lower upper shock mount basically just fell out of the yellow part.
You can get all of the rear hardware in one convenient kit for under $100 which isn't bad. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...rear-e9xrsmkit Only stuff missing from that kit is the little torx bolts and nuts that mount the lower shock mount to the control arm. The lower shock mount itself is not pictured but they do come with the kit.

For some reason FCP does not have a similarly convenient kit for the front - had to piece all of that together from RealOEM and then asked their sales to confirm.

No part number but like said above, you can find multiple brands on ECS. This is the one I got since I have the sport suspension https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-335i-N55_3.0L/Suspension/Shocks/ES2580446/

At 80k miles mine needed to be replaced bad.

Here's a list of some available front strut mounts, note KYB is not often mentioned, and then there's Monroe. Note differences in pics

Quick report. Installed the lower Monroe rear shock mounts. Nice parts but not a huge difference in feel, maybe a bit firmer. Visually inspecting them and comparing to old OEM before install, rubber did seem slightly harder, and OEM had a couple small voids or spaces that the Monroe did not. My car's mounts were 8 years old but still looked pretty good, no cracking or deterioration.

Bottom line, unlike the Monroe top rear shock mounts vs OEM, the bottom mounts seem to be pretty much similar in quality and stiffness. And weight, these are pretty stout mounts either way. Good buy though.

I have the Powerflex top rear shock mounts, they made a big difference over stock. No squeaking so far. Also Whiteline rear subframe inserts, koni sport shocks, 22.5 mm M3 rear sway bar and brackets, ZSP springs. This is an XI.

Please could someone confirm if the rear upper mounts fit with Ohlins rear, especially the issue previously in this thread with the adjusters?

Thanks will order them.

Are the rear lower mounts worth doing as well?

I have the Monroe upper and lower rear shock mounts. The lower ones are pretty similar to stock as noted before but I went with all fresh everything when I redid my suspension.
