you shouldnt need an alignment technically as its not messing with any of the rear arms. your just disconnecting two bolts, letting arm swing down on its own weight then replacing the shock body (and its washer/rubber components)

As for alignment mark the eccentric bolt before you loosen it and when you put it all back together line it back up to the marking. Just make sure you don't put the two markings on the part that moves. hope this helps. |

Ooops... Was it too harsh? I have done it with MB tools and knowledge of the suspension. Perhaps this will explain better:
http://www.chinaviktec.com/products/...cedes-Benz.htm http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...or-tool-3.html http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm *disclaimer* I'm aware these links are MB but BMW copied, yes copied! the e9x rear subframe from MB that was originally designed for w201 that went into production in 1982. You read correctly, 1982! So BMW e9x is 20 years late into the game. BMW had no choice, e36 and e46 were breaking the subrames.... |

He's correct.
Just unbolt the shock from the top and bottom mounting points, then pull down on the shock body to compress it. It will then come right out. As for the spring, put spring compressors on it and collapse it in place, it will then come right out. Transfer the spring compressors to the new spring and install in-place. |

Just ordered the rear upper and lower mounts. What's the consensus for the front upper and lower mounts...Monroe also, just stick with stock? Anyone have part numbers for the Monroes?
Thanks

Guys, I need to have my Bilsteins B12 installed on my 2009 325d with M sport suspension and ordered new mounts.
For the rear i ordered the power flex PFR5-416, however, I am confused now if I am missing one part 33506771737 which does not seem to be included in the PFR5-416 kit? Can someone maybe confirm that ? |

Worth noting that FCPEuro carries this part, in case you're ordering other stuff there and don't want to make the trip to NAPA: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-monroe-907984

Sorry to bump this back up fellas.
Is the part # 907984 or 907985... ? I see both parts numbers on the images of the boxes hear but they are one number apart on the very end.
