Question E92 n55 boost related CEL and limp home, help needed

Hello all
2011 N55 335i

Got a CEL and limp mode on way home
2C56
2C58

codes are present

I have codes before related to map temp open cct

is the TMAP the one in intake or charge pipe?
i replaced the one in intake, but was that the right one.
I just put the one i pulled out of intake into charge pipe and will see in morning how it runs.

i mighty vac pulled on hose from vac pump to vacuum manifold in head cover, hold good vacuum.

used vac pump on wastegate, hold vacuum and I can see it move.
stops moving at about 10" vac with car off, i assume it takes more to move it when car is running.

with car running the boost solenoid is sucking air, but i didn't have extra hose to check it, will do that tomorrow.

the car has been making a sucking noise at cold start for a while and bluedriver was showing 30 g/sec at start, no idea if that is normal start air flow.

I have a Bavarian Technic cable and can log info

anybody know what the wastegate duty cycle parameter is, most is in german. heck a list of translated paramters would be nice, weird that some are english and others german

also have a K+ can cable on the way

also am i correct there is a boost target parameter.

what all should I be logging to track down this gremlin

Thanks for the help
Matt

anybody know what the typical vacuum in the reservoir that supplies wastegate solenoid is normally at?

OK i did some driving yesterday and the pressure before throttle was reading normal anbout 100 or so kpa light driving, but stepping on it i was seeing 240kPa, this seems way high.

I had not reset adaptations yet as i did not have a cable to do that yet, i did at lunch today, will see what happens.

the car is stock so that value seems crazy high, or is it?

should i be using intake pressure as a better boost indicator?

does anybody know the difference between pressure before throttle and pressure before throttle raw value, is there filtering and/or scaling being done by computer?

Thanks again

more testing, hopefully someone has some insight

disconnected vacuum line at pump that goes to reservoir in head cover

and pulled vacuum with mityvac in reservoir.

with can off vacuum in reservoir hold.

turn car on, vacuum pump pulls 25" Hg right away
vacuum in reservoir disappears.

reconnect vacuum line to pump, disconnect hose to boost solenoid.
put mityvac on solenoid, put vac gauge on hose to reservoir, run car

reservoir holds vacuum at 25" Hg
boost solenoid does not

with all piping hooked up reservoir only has 10" Hg vacuum running

does the boost solenoid consume vacuum while working, or is it only supposed to use pressure.

i am strongly suspecting solenoid is leaking internally and needs to be replaced

thoughts?

replaced boost solenoid, issue resolved

out of curiosity i did an autopsy on solenoid.
tear in the diaphragm inside valve.
odd that it resulted in too much vacuum to waste gate, but totally makes sense when vacuum was very low
