Have an e90 that smells like burning oil. Changed the VCG a few months ago. There seems to be a some oil in the drivers side of the engine. Any ideas of what it could be?

![]() We can ONLY guess WITHOUT photos of: 1) OFH, front & rear; 2) Periphery of VC, particularly over the exhaust manifolds. Is there visible oil smoke at any time (particularly when engine fully-warm), and if so, from what part of the engine (most likely @ exhaust manifold)? George |

Currently there is no visible smoke in any areas of the car. Took it on a bit of drive yesterday to see if the smell would come around again.... so far there is none, but I will likely get the OFH checked... thanks for your response! ![]() |
