E90 Electric Bolsters
Hi,
I’m hoping someone has already done this and can help. I have purchased leather seats to fit into my 2006 se. The seats are manual just like mine. They need a bit of cleaning but look in excellent condition, no rips or tears. They are connected by a yellow plug. Which all looks exactly the same as present. But the new seats a have a electric bolster operated by a switch of the side. My old cloth seats don’t. I’m hoping they will be plug and plug and work without modification, does anything know if this will be the case? But if as I think likely the wiring needs to be changed what do I need to do. I should add I don’t think the seats are heated but I’m not 100% sure. The seats are not fully electric or memory and I’m pretty sure they should just bolt in.... |

From my understanding it's the seat module that controls the electric parts of the seats. So in theory it should be straight forward plug and play. Only thing I can think of which I did hit once when swapping to the M3 interior, was that pin needed swapping to get the bolsters working but that may have just been because of an M3 thing or pre/post LCI thing.
Best thing to do is swap one seat in and see.
