Pretty much. It's not worth it IMO. I just did the combo deal for software and headers from AA for 1249. That's a better bang for your buck if you ask me.

Wow wait a second. 60hp and 80hp, or 60whp and 80whp?

I rather pay $500 more and get extra hp. But as everyone had said, not really worth it. I think it needs to be 100whp+ for me to consider it

Interesting how these figures are spot on for "gains" you will have after this installation. IF I didn't make a "promise", it would be one heck of a story to tell.

You better be a 6 speed to even consider 100whp bump.

I understand where you're coming from, but that's not a fact. Everyone said the same thing about 335 transmissions, look at the numbers they put down now vs the numbers tranny "can handle"

EDIT: I keep trying to post this, but it keeps dissappearing.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_6L50_transmission

And there are cadillac cars out there with 320-350hp that use this transmission. 100whp for my car will be somewhere around 350hp.

But if I'm wrong, I'd love to learn

True its not a fact as no one has ever made 100 whp on a auto tranny but, I would guess zf underestimates their specs a little more then the gm tranny . Time will tell

Better off doing a 6speed conversion. I thought my 328 E92 6speed was excellent especially with a short shifter and the M knob.

It's too early to celebrate. There are some major issues. I personally would hold off. Ask me how I know.

Spend $5k on ls swap or 335. Supercharger is cool but if 80whp is all you get then I'm out

Just get new aa tune with headers and stage 3intake

i would spend those 5k on a n54 swap. seen some for 4.5k with like 40k which i think isn't bad.

an extra 80whp isnt really worth 5k . people just have to face that these engines weren't meant to have high hp lol
