Combox retrofit

I've researched this so much my head is about to explode.
Why are the BMW connected/online services so bloody complicated?!

Basically what I want is bluetooth streaming and the ability to send Google routes (not contacts) to the car. So..

I assume I need ConnectedDrive (and a subscription which I hope they will allow me to do after a retrofit).

And BMW assist is part of ConnectDrive.

And there's 2 types of Combox, Telematics and Media but installing Media Combox will disable Assist.

Is that right so far?

Do you need BMW assist (with subscription obviously) to enable Google (routes) send to car?

If yes then I need the Telematics Combox?

And some services seem to use the in built sim of the car and some use a tethered phone by bluetooth!

Help! My car is a 2009 e92 last 7 of VIN is PG15597.

You will lose BMW Assist if you retrofit Combox (any version).

615 EXTENDED BMW ONLINE INFORMATION

616 BMW ONLINE

So I already have Assist, online and "extended online". Assuming I have a subscription, can I use Google send to car with what I have?
