It seems too good to be true, but then the 3.0l 325 is really just an electronically restrained 330 despite the single stage intake, so if anything is going to post big gains with just an ECU flash it is this car

shoot IM in the same boat. I just saw this thread after PMing a member about their wheels. Hmmm... If a member's gonna do it- just tell them that if the dyno doesnt show the same result, then he wont have to pay for it. If everything goes well I am definitely in for this reflash. |

lol off to san diego next year right after graduation...with plenty of cash to burn too! on my list: evotech chip (hopefully it can remove the speed limiter as well), gruppe-m intake and KW V2
cant wait yup 325i might be an electronically restrained 330i, i dont notice a difference in the engine..other than the chips perhaps, flaps in the exhaust, and maybe the intake..other than that it looks the same inside might try this heh

Mia just got her C230 Sport and man what a nice car. It's an 07 manual and came with all the AMG goodies. The price is crazy under 33K out the door! I definitely recommend it to your wife bro. |

I'll be the test dummy but it won't be until Dec before I get home from service and can get it done. Anyone else want to step up to have it done sooner?

Anybody worried about what'll happen if the sip (did I get that right?) needs to be updated down the road for a software bug. Will that wipe the ecu flash?
I also suspect that since the 325 is a detuned 330 that the 330 won't see this kind of power .... I sure am hoping it will though. |

Okay, here's a cutaway diagram of the N52 engine. I wonder how those lifters can be attenuated electronically since the overhead cams sit right above the lifters and valves. |

A closer view: bmwusa.com info: Double Vanos Double VANOS allows the engine to "steplessly" choose valve timing for both intake and exhaust camshafts. Electronically controlled in response to engine speed, load and temperature, Double VANOS maximizes engine response, efficiency and emission control. The benefit: more low- to medium-speed torque for strong acceleration and added flexibility for better highway performance, plus quieter, smoother engine at idle. Valvetronic Valvetronic replaces the function of the throttle butterfly with continuously variable valve lift control, to enable the engine to breathe more easily. An electric motor controlled by the accelerator pedal turns an eccentric shaft, which transmits the rotation of the cams to the valves via a connecting lever. Controlling the position of the eccentric shaft controls the ideal valve lift. The result is remarkably smooth and optimized power and efficiency at all times. |

Evotech i beleive was in an article on European Car and they were explaining how remarkable dedicated teh engineers at the shop were with cars, and how they had more passion than most companies at "getting it right"

I don't know if it's just me, but I just don't believe much on this. I remember the Dyno test promised before on some kind of intake of 20hp gain which we never saw the result after.
