Anyone ever use this kit to repair a puncture ?

I'm debating if I should do it myself or just take it to the shop tomorrow morning.....

That's essentially what they do at the tire shop so it should be fine if you're comfortable trying it. I've got a local tire shop that charges $20 for the plug and I've never had one fail so I just take it there.

Can you just plug n' drive away or do you have to wait for it to "plug/dry" ?

As long as the nail is in the tread you can use that no problem..matter of fact here state side any tire shop will do it for you for $5..not sure about up there.

You should be good to go with that repair kit. It is also what I have seen being used at various shops. Larger punctures are actually easier to do than pinhole types.

are you sure its a nail and not just a sharp rock that cut into the tread? it might not have even gone through the tire

I'd rather have it patched professionally or just replace the entire tire.

The tire shop may say that is way too close to the edge, they may not be able to repair it. Definitely get a professional to look at it first.

I recently had a similar puncture. I took it to a place across from York U on Keele and they charged me $20 to fix it with that same tool. It was a runflat too, I know that the dealerships won't repair a runflat, they'll just gouge you for a new tire or tires

Please don't track your car on a "patched" tire...
