nail in my Hankook V12
Anyone ever use this kit to repair a puncture ?
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en I'm debating if I should do it myself or just take it to the shop tomorrow morning..... Last edited by KCX_335xi; 10-23-2011 at 06:24 PM.. |

That's essentially what they do at the tire shop so it should be fine if you're comfortable trying it. I've got a local tire shop that charges $20 for the plug and I've never had one fail so I just take it there.

Can you just plug n' drive away or do you have to wait for it to "plug/dry" ?

As long as the nail is in the tread you can use that no problem..matter of fact here state side any tire shop will do it for you for $5..not sure about up there.

The tire shop may say that is way too close to the edge, they may not be able to repair it. Definitely get a professional to look at it first.

I recently had a similar puncture. I took it to a place across from York U on Keele and they charged me $20 to fix it with that same tool. It was a runflat too, I know that the dealerships won't repair a runflat, they'll just gouge you for a new tire or tires
