2009 Nav problems

10/08 build 2009 335i w/ nav. Having trouble getting the Nav to reroute me around traffic. I saw the "nav update in May" thread briefly touch upon this, but haven't seen anything else in a search. Anybody else experience this issue?

Also, is night mode not available in 3d perspective?

You have to have dynamic routing selected to get the Nav to re-route you around traffic. The perspective map works fine in night mode, but you have to manually select night mode.

Mine is stuck on night mode. Can't get it to change. '09 with an 08/08 build date.

I have been having trouble getting it to reroute all along, which has been very frustrating. I did get the new update the other day, and will see if it addresses anything.

I had the dynamic route thing selected and it hasn't helped. and as for night mode, it just won't go. I have selected it manually many times. hmmmm

^ Go get the latest NAV software update it may resolve your issues.

You might already know this and this may or may not be happening to you but sometimes it doesn't reroute around traffic because it calculates that sitting through the traffic is still quicker than taking an alternate route. Most times mine does not reroute but on a few occasions when traffic was really bad it did reroute and the navigation voice even notifies you of this course of action. I have dynamic rerouting feature turned on.

Try unselecting the traffic map setting and see if night mode will now work. It only works for the regular map, not the traffic map.
