RWD to Xdrive

Hey guys,

So I have a quick question. I have a 2008 e93 335i. I was headed home for a funeral. And wrecked my car. Nothing serious just body damage and a busted radiator. But with parts and paint I'm well into the hole. I found another 335i but it's a 2011 e92 335xi that just needs a motor. My motor is perfectly fine.

Can I just take my motor out and run it on that car or do they connect differently whether it's motor mounts, transmission, etc etc?

LoL, you never need JUST a motor.
But it will be a good time for you to pull the whole motor and refresh seals while at it.
The AWD will need axle and input seals, etc replacement, anyway. Front diff likes to leak from input shaft for example.

You will need $,$$$. For sure.

It will fit, you just have to swap the oil pans.

This is not just a rwd to xdrive but an n55 to n54. the major engine differences are oil pan setup doubt the transmission bolt pattern is different. I'd try to find another 335i n55 engine to put on that car or a donor to swap over stuff from your car.
