check my invoice

So I'm from the North East and this is my invoice from having b8's installed on my car. I bought my springs and they got everything else. I had them look at smoking issue. I'm wondering if I got a raw deal. What you think? Also is 30miles a average drive to make sure all is good? I took pic of my milage before and after...I don't want to put a notice out there on a over priced shop if this is average.... Thanks,

Looks about right for a shop for the work requested, labor might be a little high for suspension replacement. I'd recommend DIY in future, replacing suspension is quite easy.

Looks reasonably priced to me considering I paid around $750 USD for brake rotors and pads installed.

Looks pricey to me, most of the parts most definitely could of been sourced for less.

The labor for my indie to install my coilovers were $600.

Yes but your coilovers were likely $1200+ so total on that job was let's say $1800. This guy brought a set of springs and had the shop source the rest of a new suspension.

I mean trust me - it sucks to get a $3k bill but the smiles of a refreshed car will be worth it!

labor and parts look a little high, you can try looking up the price of the parts and compare, just tie rods alone, i got them for around $55 each.

really good to learn how to diy some of them.

@Achappell8

Lol I went with the cheap route and went with racelands and could not be happier (360$ + 600$)

No regrets, 3 months in and love them.

It seems like a massive ripoff.

Tie rods (oem) are less than 100$ each.
Work to replace (i asked my mechanic, how much) and he said 25$

I can't believe they charge that much money for such simple work + parts are really expensive. Then again i come from poor Eastern Europe country.

For that money you could replace everything in suspension - Twice - and have money left over.

Normal USA BMW shop charges. If you let them source the parts it’s not in their best interest to scrape the web for a deal. They buy through suppliers with fixed prices. Is what it is.

If you aren’t DIY’ing you’re paying that amount. Typically.
