BavSound Sound System Enhancements for E90 335i

Hey everyone!

I hope that this post will be useful for those of you who are looking to upgrade your current sound system in your E9X. These are my overall impressions with BavSound.

I recently acquired a new sponsorship from BavSound. If you have not heard of BavSound, they are one of the leading sources for audio enhancements for BMW and Mini. BavSound specializes in aftermarket plug-n-play sound system solutions and they are extremely well-known in the BMW community.

They make it extremely easy for you to upgrade your current sound system, whether your car has a Standard HiFi system, Harmon Kardon, Premium Sound, whatever the case may be. Their website is extremely user-friendly - you simply type in some information about your car, and it tells you what system you currently have and what sound system enhancements are available for your specific vehicle.

Their customer service is great! Extremely friendly, responsive, and always willing to help if you have questions. Fortunately, the install process was EXTREMELY simple, which is what attracted me to this company in the first place. I wanted a system that was easy to install without modification, and would fit like OEM. A system that would work with my existing factory headunit, that would offer clear and quality sound. I have been VERY impressed with my new setup and it will only continue to get better as everything starts to break in.

The videos below are install DIYs that I did on my buddy's E90 335i. We upgraded from the BMW Base sound system and Base subwoofers. So we installed 4 new midrange speakers, and two Ghost Underseat subs.

Additionally, I did install videos on my YouTube channel for all of the products that were sent to me for my e92 M3 so feel free to check those out as well!
Products include the following: BavSound's Revenant Amplifier, Stage One Speaker Upgrade (4 mid-range, 2 tweeters), and Ghost Underseat Subwoofers (2, one for drivers side, one for passenger side).

Shipping was also extremely fast! I am located in Ohio and these products came from California in a matter of days. Everything was nicely packaged and all of their products look SUPER nice. Its a shame that the factory interior panels cover up such beautiful pieces of art.

I highly recommend BAVSOUND for anyone looking for a simple install process with super high quality sound enhancement, without breaking the bank.
Huge thanks to the guys at BavSound for giving me the opportunity to work with them.

I am also offering a DISCOUNT CODE in my video if you want to take advantage of it. I dont get any kickback for this. I just like them so much that I want to tout their products.

On to the install videos!

Nice video. How much of a difference did the upgraded speakers make in overall audio quality? Worth the $1000 for the set?

My buddy raves about it CONSTANTLY. Also keep in mind that one of her rear speakers wasnt even functional. But it sounds great. Yes, there are much better alternatives that are more costly, but for being a plug n play solution, its a very solid setup IMO. I'm not audiophile but it sounds 1000% better than it did with the Base system that was in there.

Agree...
It's a good simple plug and play setup, but you can get similar results for less if you source components separately IMO

These are good for those who don't want to dig for info too deep, and want the simplicity of an all in one solution tailored for their car.

I have BMW Individual Audio (IA) speakers less minus the underneath subs. I even put tweeters in the rear doors. I've never heard the Bav Sound Speakers in an e90. By all accounts, it's really tough to beat the sound the BMW IA speakers. They are plug & play, fit perfectly & sound amazing with a JL Audio amp at 75w a Channel.

My installer said the same thing. If I didn't start with Base audio, he would have recommended just to swap the amp and see what it sounds like first.

There are many aftermarket BMW kit speakers now .
Also a lot that fit if you do the research .
There is and extensive list in the audio build thread but
it's not up to date.
The problem with all this is kind of exotic you can't go to
your corner stereo store and demo it.
You have to depend on subjective reports and specs.

This board has an extensive amount of info on the subject
but in general you have to dig for it. (going back a decade or more)

And the kind of questions people ask show a limited knowledge of what
they understand about stereo and whats in there car.

So when you ask a question about how will it sound if I put new speakers
in it there is no one correct answer cause you don't know what it is.

There are three different sound system's (and actually a 4th)
That have 4 different speakers sets (number and type)
And they are powered in three to 4 different ways.
