Can I spray anti rust in the door hole?

Noticed a rubber grommet covering a nice sized hole in the door.

I suppose it is for rust prof spray right? Just bought a can and was spraying some for good measure and just wanted to double check shouldn't cause any harm right, especially to the window regulator?

Typically that rust prof spray is a waxy formula with rust inhibitors etc, I would try not to get a lot on the regulators, but it won't hurt them, may actually lube them a bit. After you do it, just make sure you clean any drain holes in the bottom of the door as clogging those with rust proofing so water cannot escape your door is worse than not rustproofing.

Post a pic, those holes could have been drilled to spray oil. I spray oil into the door drains and park on decline

Those grommets are normally for tool access with respect to repairs.

you'd be better off to pop the door panel. You'll have no idea where your product is ending up and you really want it to get full coverage at the seam at the bottom.
