Temperature gauge - coding experts

Just bought a 335D and was very surprised that it does not (even) have a water temperature gauge fitted......... don't quite understand why?

Is there anyway that the system can be reprogrammed to show this as a "normal" function in the menu system - (I realise that it can be found by pressing the trip button God knows how many times and all that)

even my Yeti has a temperature gauge and it has also be possible to quickly program the display system to show the oil temperature at the press of a button.

Have any of the "coding" experts been able to crack this?

Yes, you can code the ecconometer to be the temperature gauge. Not sure how you'd change the dials though

at least that's something and you would see the movement and be able to monitor any changes, without knowing the exact temperature

Can you modify the iDrive/Nav system to show the temperature in the vehicle settings?

or could you include the temperature when you cycle through the mpg, distance left on fuel, etc., ? - the LCD section between the dials

this is a nifty multifunction gauge from Turner. though it's expensive @ $470.

Thanks - that looks a good piece of kit - and if it works as it says, probably good value

You can view it on your phone via Carley and many other apps. However it means having your phone connected to the car draining your battery fast.

Would be so good if it could be coded to be an extra readout in the instrument cluster.
