...to ship 18" wheels only? u-haul has nice boxes that are 20x20x12, but they're a whopping $5.50 a pop. any place cheaper?

thx!

A lot of malls/stores have huge cardbord recycling bins out back, just wait till they close and go see what they have in them. As long as you find one with a lid everything should be dry, and since its recycling bin, you dont have to worry about digging through trash.

So it's $11 for 2 boxes... That's not that bad really... The ones from UHaul are actually pretty thick and well constructed, good to ship wheels in.

call Discount Tire or something and ask them to set some aside. Flip the guy $5-10.

ya $11 for two boxes isn't bad...

but they're 20x20x12 so it only fits 1 wheel...so you need 4

They have bigger boxes at slightly more which can fit 2 wheels. I shipped 4 wheels and tires in 2 boxes recently.

I shipped 2 wheels per box with uhaul 24 1/2 x 24 1/2 x 27" boxes. Like $8.50 each but the boxes are pretty thick and can stand the weight good. If you're shipping I would reccomend finding a provider from uship.com I shipped 4 wheels and tires for only $100 compared to the 300 fed ex wanted.

OMG $22!?!?111!?!!!?eleventyone!!!??!!?
You're worried about spending twenty two dollars on boxes to ship wheels that are worth thousand(s) for your $40-50 thousand dollar car. From what I read here they're good quality boxes too so you aren't looking or better boxes just cheaper ones. /facepalm

$22 dollars don't seem like too much for boxes to ship wheels...

I was thinking the same thing. So if you do your due dilligence and start a thread, and search the web, and call around, then you find them for half that price and save 10 bucks? You already found what you were looking for and its 22.00 for 4 boxes so why not just buy them and be done with it? This aint a nissan sentra forum for christs sake
