will do
perhaps not giving up yet

did a small cheap fit yesterday and will post pictures later on tomorrow

manage to get a piece of blue color film from a COLIN camera filter
cut it to fit the glass in front of the angel eye assembly
glue it down and switch on the headlight.
not bad at all....at least its better than yellow.

next week will try out MARC's LUX5 then you guys can compare

stay tune guys

dude - Dont glue anything inside your headlights. If you use film or something like that it WILL MELT!!! then you just ruined your headlights.

I glue it with silicon ....around the edges
All right, maybe I just turn on the headlights for a few minutes, it didn't melt the film.
you think a 10v bulb will damage the film? how much heat is generated?

Well, if you say so, then the cheap film MOD is garbage.
that only leave me one option, is your LUX5

send it to me when you have it ready please

the only solution going that route is to paint the glass with blue NON flammable paint. Nail polish is flammable so that won’t work. I actually painted the glass on the bulb with a blue sharpie and that didn’t melt but to be 100% sure go to home depot and buy some NON flammable paint for glass projects.

I’ll do that but I can’t even get the drive bulb out since it requires me to remove the intake to get access and I just don’t have the tools for that which I know it’s sad but I just moved lol…

ok guys, sorry for the long delay.
I was able to remove the bulb yesterday.

I will try to post some pictures later on this week.

its very simple, you know first you need to remove the entire angel eye assembly (the 2 torq screws), unplug the angel eye wiring.

the glass piece in front of the bulb has to come out, there are 4 metal tabs that hold it.
use a flat head screw driver and unclip it gently

push the grey color plastic piece from the back and it will come out

all you have now is the bulb holder.

you got to have tiny fingers to take out the bulb.

grab the bulb and push in then turn, it has 2 locking studs on the bottom

it only dismount from the front, do not attempt removing it from the back.

the bulb is a little DA9 type??

all we need now is take this damn thing to an electronic shop and ask for a white or blue color bulb.

hope this help.

Is this issue prodominant in all new E90's? I have a 2009 E90 335xi sedan and order a complete set of GP Thunders. Did I just waste my money?
