I do it myself. Come on, its not that hard. Its a good bonding experience with your car, and a chance to get your hands dirty.

lol, i can do it with my cousin but all he has ever dropped are hondas and acuras, never a bmw. i dont want the springs flying into the streets lol..

Grab a spring compressor and have at it over a weekend. Real easy to do once you get over the fear.

Autozone's around here(MA) loan you one and you just return it when done. No need to pay. I have also seen spring compressors at Sears for approx. $50.
