Exclamation New N54 5-10 v5 PWM maps/firmware

Hi guys,
Have new maps/firmware ready for release. Been testing it for the last month along with the new PWM meth system. Finally managed to integrate some stuff that we've been wanting to do for some time. As a result, we've addressed the following items that some users reported. Among them:

-random farting wastegate solenoid noise at idle
-subtle light throttle boost oscillation (3000-4000rpm)
-extended crank at start-up
-cruise control deactivation

I've done testing on the 4 n54 we have here at the shop. Unfortunately, they are all 6MTs. So that the only map I'd like to release right now. We have 6AT/7DCT maps ready to go but I'm going to wait until I get do test it myself which will take another few days.

In the meantime, if you have a 6MT and want to test this update, please email me at shiv@vishnutuning.com and put "6MT 5-10 Beta" in the subject. I'll be sending out both a DIC enabled and a DIC disabled map so you can see for yourself what you prefer.

Cheers!
shiv

Nice!

Could you explain the these:
-extended crank at start-up
-cruise control deactivation

Also, will the Automatic maps be non-DIC as well? Any performance enhancement in these maps?

Actually, we have autotuning enabled as a "monitor only" feature. It will log knock and update an aggression value which is now based upon very different logic. Some more testing/feedback is necessary before we give autotuning the freedom to make mapping changes. Wont be long though.

Shiv - with the 6AT maps, is there anything being factored in for the post-shift timing recovery issue with newer DME software......or is that just a myth?

Is that what I've been feeling on the shift from 2nd to 3rd and sometimes 3rd to 4th? It's like a dip in power... super temporary, like 1/2 second, but it's annoying. I got the Procede after the software update... so I don't have anything to compare it to.

There is definitely something a little funny going on with the most recent BMW software update. But those meth logs I posted today were with that very same car (6MT however) that got it's DME software updated 2 weeks ago. The one that showed the post-shift retard when it was first tested upon delivery. But now, all the post shift retard is gone. So it's something that we know we can fix. We just have to figure out how we did it. And how to do it without meth.

Shiv, will these maps and firmwire work with coolingmist CMGS kit? I have an Auto fully modded except Upgraded turbos and I am going to the track tomorrow. Would you like me to test anything?

So we can log aggression and corrected aggression with the new maps?

Shiv, which one you like most between DIC and no-DIC map? And what are the differences?

Thanks!

So THATS why my cruise control was doing that, all this time I thought it was something wrong with the car and I was wishing I still had a warranty. Email sent!
