How The Hell Do I Open The Trunk?

2010 e92 335. Battery is good, car runs...all electrical working.

I don’t have a key hole and the trunk button up front doesn’t work.

I tried to button on the back under the license plate, nothing.

Is there an easy trick I’m missing? Wtf.

Thanks, that was it. I’ve never changed that in 9 years of ownership, so service must have done it. In the future, is there a trick if this wasn’t the issue?

The other scenario is if your battery is dead, or you accidentally closed the trunk with the battery removed. In that case, hook up jumper cables to the front positive/ground connections. The car will power up and you can unlock the trunk.

If that's still not the case, it'll be like any other car and be a really annoying fix to try and get the trunk open (e.g. latch failed, actuator failed, etc).

Open your hood, connect a charger under the hood and open your trunk. Works always for me.
