Great looking car! You should get a proper helmet though, motorcycle helmets are not made for cars.

I decided it wasn't worth the extra $15-20K to upgrade to an equally awesome M3. Especially since TurboMike and some other guys have proven you can track this car pretty reliably.

I can't argue with you there, but (a) I miss getting to use my helmet since I sold my Triumph and (b) they're so darn expensive. If I ending up tracking my car more than 3-4 times a year, I'll probably invest in one. Until then, this'll do just fine (I think).

Your car's lookin' good too, bro. Those pics by the beach up in Malibu were sweet.

Yep, I really wouldn't worry about the car. My 335i was completely stock the first time I took it to the track (I didn't even do high temp brake fluid). The experience was great - and at no point did the car's capabilities come into question.

Sneaky I love your car. When I was looking for an E9x, it was your car that made me choose the E90 over the E92. The new rims look sexy too. Keep it up!

Definitely one of the best looking E90's on the forum!

Are you going to remove the factory thermostat or going to leave it in? I'd be interested to see how low your oil temps stay with it out.

For most people, your car will far exceed your capabilities and bravery the first time your out on track.

Unless your this guy. Then I would suggest you upgrade to the self driving package. . .

Since you're worried about engine temp, do you think those scoops cover a significant portion of your radiator?

Good to know, but I've been to the track before in someone else's car - a Porsche 911 turbo S.

Nah, I plan on leaving it installed. Some of the guys in the tracking thread reported oil temps staying below 240.

I wish! That's definitely on my list along with a LSD, under car aero, side splitters, track wheels, it never ends.

I thought about It, but they'd be easy to remove at the track. I'm kinda over the red too. Wish I'd gone with black.
