poly bushing recommendations
so, at 144K my tension arm bushes are wasted.
It's a DD, so I don't want stupid hard poly, but I also don't like the big voids rubber factory deal so much. I found these: https://www.powerflexusa.com/shop/pr...s-bushing-2396 but $120 for two bushings seems some bullshit. I'm also not really a fan of the split bushings, and powerflexes complete lack of durometer information. I mean, lifetime warranty sure, but how many times am I ever going to actually replace these? I found these: https://www.strongflex.eu/en/e81-e82...553503401.html which seem exactly like what I want. Similar durometer to the OE rubber, just not shit. not sure if shipping kills the deal, but they'd be about $50 a pair after currency exchange. so half the cost of the powerflex, and they are solid bushings not split. anyone know where to get the strongflex bushings in the US, or do I have to wait for slow boats? |

I'm trying to avoid spending $400 on arms. I'd much rather just put bushings in these ones. They're fine. I'm gonna roll the dice on these strongflex ones as soon as they get me a shipping quote. |

Ah, sorry, didn't check that. You're probably right though, the m3 arms probably would have an argument with your driveshafts. Maybe the m3 bushings, which I think are available separately, would fit your existing arms??
The price of those strongflex bushings is right! I have no experience with them, but I'm thinking they might be pretty harsh in reality...worth a spin though; if they're good it's a victory, if they suck it's not much money wasted. Good luck! And let us know how it goes. |

well they offer two durometer bushings.
one is 90 and one is 80. I'm hoping the 80 results in a ride slightly firmer than stock. something on par with the m3 bushings, but for the cheaps. after digging into the powerflex site further I found that the purple powerflex stuff is 80a, and they say that's comparable to the OE rubber as well. https://www.powerflexusa.com/how-to-choose |

You should read the XI thread on this: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1108425
Summary: Get the yellow StrongFlex (the harder one). AFAIK, it is only available direct order. Some minor creaking for me after I did it, but it seems to have gone away after 1 year. Most people don't seem to complain about noises. Alternative: SynchroDesign arms with an integrated ball joint instead of a bushing $$$550! |

The powerflex purple are ideal for a road car, the black bushes on this part are really for track cars, lifetime guarantee on them so would recommend the powerflex ones
