Headlight bouncing on rough pavement

I have been wanting to ask this question for awhile

I have a 2008 (6/08 prod) 335i sdn w/ sport pkg and adaptive headlights

I really like how the headlights self aim when you start the car and how they piviot left and right while turning.

What bugs me is the slight bouncing effect when I drive over rough pavement.

I know there was a TSB regarding this a long time ago but my production date was well after the dates of production that were effected. BMW apparently fixed the issue by the time my car was built.

Does anyone have any input on this? Is mine acting normal?

thanks

Jay

06 e90's and all 07 e9x were affected by that because they lacked a brace under the light, so you had wobbly lights, and broken tabs.

you may want to check yours out, maybe they started late in 08? or maybe you just have broken tabs, which is not as common with the cars with the added support, but its been done

I remember seeing the TSB for it and the parts it listed. I think all of the components needed were give or take $10. Only problem is that the web site that listed TSB was changed and no longer accessible to the general public (charges a fee)?

I took my car in and mentioned the lights but they wouldn't fix the issue because my car was lowered, blah blah blah. I could've ranted and raved but hey, save the headache for another day.

Now if anyone saved that TSB in .pdf to their computer....

my car does that too. on really rough roads.

mine is a E90 LCI with adaptive xenons as well. I thought this was all normal. it shakes a little judging from the beam throw. But its not too bad for me to think its a defect. thought it was normal.
