Well the MULF2 supports USB so its still the cheaper option.
Had the car not already had the MULF, then i'd likely have gone straight for the newer head unit. |

Gents, revise this from the dead. My TCU was doing something similar so I removed it and heated it up with my heat gun and now it appears to the connect to the phone etc which it did before also.. however!
I've also had this problem before and I am wondering if this is due to a failing TCU. Basically I can connect to it, dial out the number etc.. But I hear no voice prompts or the other person through my speakers. The other person can hear me speaking to them etc, but I don't hear them in the car. My radio works fine in all other settings. This issue is a hit or miss with the TCU/bluetooth and sometimes I hear the voice from the other person and sometimes I don't. The phone i am using is a iPhone 6s. Vehicle is a 08 X3. Anyone else experience something like this? Is this an indication of a failing TCU? What part of the unit (inside, pcb board) handles the audio - does anyone know? |
