Help: Parking light failure
I had a message on the CCC the other day about parking light failure. It’s a pre lci E90 with Xenon headlights, I leave the headlights on auto for driving so they are on dipped all the time, dipped lights still work fine.
Then last night whilst returning to it I unlocked it and noticed the left angel eyes are very dim but it’s not a total failure. Is the parking light a separate bulb to the angel eyes or are the angel eyes parking lights? The pic is with sidelights/angel eyes on though you can't see them on the drivers side due to brightness. Basically I'm clueless, how do I resolve the problem? |

I take it they've been changed to LED's?Youre angel lamps are you're sidelights.looks like a partially failed LEd to me.
In fact, looking again it only has rings illuminated, the inner part of the lamp should light up also.Has someone perhaps fitted rings into the headlamps?Could just be the lighting in the pic though. |

Thanks for the reply, As far as I'm aware they are standard factory Xenons.
On sidelights it's only ever had the angel eye rings lit and not the inner part. On dipped the outer part of the lamp lights up. In the below pic It looks like the inner angel eye isn't full on but thats just the photo. And on dipped headlights I guess I need to try find out what bulbs and stuff are fitted to it. |
