Could the paddles be removed for use with a manual tranny?

Yes, the paddles can be removed. I am not sure how but people "upgrade" paddles quite often, whether it be with aftermarket paddles or they go with the '11 style paddle.

In any case, all it will do is just leave a hole in the back where the paddles are and no one will see. Or, you leave the paddles and obviously you just don't plug them in and you can tuck them away.

You have options.

Just unplug the paddles and sell them if you're manual. No one will ever know and you'll end up getting an even better deal after you recoup the paddle money.
