what is the source of oil leaking?
Hi mighty Diesel 3ers,
After I took off the engine air filter box and it's hose in the engine bay, I found a puddle of oil inside the seal of the air intake hose. The oil was found in part 7 of the following diagram The hose seems for clean air and the oil should now show here at all. Can anyone know where the source of this oil leaking? The oil leaking (circled region) is shown in the following photo: Thanks in advance. Last edited by mhd; 02-17-2020 at 01:54 PM.. Reason: add a new picture to clarification |

This is the oil condensing from the CCV in your Air Intake. Part # 5 in the diagram is what connects the intake to the Crank Case Ventilator (CCV). Only thing you can do is put an oil separator on or replace the seal at part # 7 and hope it doesn't leak as much.

Yes, you are right!
I can see the trail of oil inside the connection hose (part #5). Thanks for pointing out the source so that I can do more research on both your suggestions.
