Quad Tips w/ stock bumper
i had this mod done a lil back, here is the method that i came up with after i did this mod, USE THE RAZOR(you can see how easy and clean it is to cut with the razor), DO NOT USE THE DREMEL
1. get some type of thin iron/lead wire and wrap around the end of the tips to get the shape(once you have the tips in hand), this way the cut will comes out looking perfect 2. trace that shape on your bumper at where you want to cut, i cut mine on the side toward the middle 3. cut from the underneath and work your way up to the marked lines good luck Last edited by ontopofm; 07-14-2010 at 04:51 PM.. |

good pics but I have one question, how would you use this method since the OEM holes are smaller and wouldnt allow quads to fit. It's hard to mount quads into the OEM holes unless you cut. The steps you list wont work unless you've already cut your bumper right?? How'd you get the quads welded into the OEM holes w/o cutting??

mine was done a while back but these pics were taken today, i wasnt thinking into doing a diy,
if you wrap the wire around the quad tips, you got the shape, and if you trace the shape on the bumper and start cutting it, the hole will be bigger than the tips, how would it not fit? |

if any 1 local guy want to get it done, i can do it for free of charge, i'll trace shape first and place it on your bumper, if you like it i'll cut it and you take pics to post on this diy
