visual difference between standard audio & hifi loud speakers

Hello guys..

I am just wondering if there is any difference in external appearance between standard audio system and hifi loud speakers.

here in australia, hifi loud speakers is optional.

i am just wondering how they look differently (size, location of speakers?, head units?)

And is it that better? (worth it?)

plus, aftermarket in-car DVD is OK ?

THANKS

STD speakers include 2 front door speakers, 2 rear panel speakers (rear doors for the e-91) and 2 soofer under front seat...
The 10 speak hi-fi will add 2 tweeters in the front door on black side plastic near window, and 2 tweeters in the rear panel (door for the e-91).... plus you'll get an external amplifier, I believe is 4-25w for the mid-highs and 2x40w for the woofer...
I think it's well worth it..

Garage List
Need to be careful here because there are at least 3 levels of audio set up. There are probably more because there are 4 choices of audo head unit not including the MD option.

The speaker/amp configs are available in at least 3 set ups - Standard, Hi-Fi and Logic 7 - I think in the US everyone gets Logic 7. In the UK for example you get standard but can pay to upgrade to Hi Fi or L7.

I have Hi Fi - The Hi-Fi subs aren't on view because they are under the seats. I'd rate Hi-Fi about the same as HK in the older model car - OK but not good.

The Logic 7 system has a central speaker mounted on the dash.

The Hi-Fi costs 800 Euro here and to be honest the sound is nothing special. They should be ashamed charging that much for it.

On the other hand, the sound from the standard system is utterly disgraceful (for a luxury brand expecially) so basically you have to upgrade to something if you like to listen to music.

If you are rich go the extra step and get Logic7 (here it costs about 1600 Euro). It is supposed to be reasonable but not mind-blowing.

well, i totally agree with u guys.
My e90 just got standard 6-speaker system and it sucks......
(it's even worse than my previous cars such as lancer and golf.. can't believe this)
Is there any way to improve this with minor cost? (i mean 'aftermarket')

Any advice will be appreciated.

peace ! !
