Seattlesquash and feuer can you guys please help me understand what I’m seeing in those pics?
I am looking back through this thread and want to be clear on what you did because I’m trying to build the same kit. Just want to be clear these pics are on e92 328i and the parts used are: Front: BMW (performance?) f30 Brembo 2 piston front brake calipers 370mm front performance rotors These all bolted up fine no issues? Rear: BMW single piston f30 Brembo rear caliper. You installed some sort of mounting bushing into the caliper or was this always there? If you installed it... what is it, where did you get it, and how did you install this bushing into the caliper (was it a slip fit or had to be pressed in)? You used an angle grinder to remove what looks like maybe 2mm of thickness from the caliper mount surface to make it level with this mystery bushing, correct? 345mm Zimmerman rotor is then used with the now slightly modified rear caliper. Does this allow use of your factory 328i e92 ebrake? (I assume a f30 328i rear rotor would work fine with the e92 328i ebrake based on my prior conversations with Feuer I just want to confirm that’s what you used here.) Thank you. I also noticed the outer edge of the rear rotor looks like it’s seeing some unusual wear in your pic. Could this be because you used an angle grinder instead of milling the calipers and the mount surface isn’t square and true?

Probably result of recent car wash. Mating area is nice and flat. Take a look at the photos with the measuring caliper for reassurance.

I just installed my ppf30 bbk like yours just in gold or yellow however. All good but, I can hear from the rear brakes, a little ticking sound while driving.. it is so annoying. Before installing these brakes, there was not that ticking sound :/ Did you had that kinda ticking sound? Maybe you know how to fix that :/ ?? Rear discs are mtec, from e60 series, dimpled and slotted like the front discs. Pads are OEM BMW in the front and the rear. In the front it's all good no ticking no squeaking sound at all Thanks forward for answering my problems and sorry for my bad beginner English, I'm new here and I hope you understand my issue with the rear brakes 😂 |

The protection shield of the rotors have enough space. No trimming on the calipers before install. Just these customized adapter socket pressed in in the rear calipers to make it plug n play. The calipers are also having space. The handbrake is not tight adjusted.
I uploaded a not listed YouTube video, I hope you can hear that annoying noise from the rear brakes while driving. |

I might have figured it out after some more Reading on here; if your offset vary on the Euro spec rotors, you may have a better starting point that what I did. Also, sorry for your loss in soccer!

Ticking noise may be characteristic of the style of slots on your discs.
Some are more prone than others - even the BMW dimpled and slotted discs are not immune. |

I bought a new front set for the bmw f30 (340mm) m performance calipers online.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-Per...53.m2749.l2649 Due to being so many variations of pads the garage im using to fit is having problem getting the right set, the suppliers are all requesting a plate number which I can’t give because these are being retrofitted to an e90 Does anyone know the correct part number needed for the m performance on europarts or what dimension the pads need to be? Reaoloem part number is listed as 34116878876 for the pads |

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2353 These are the pads for the 340mm rotors. This will explain it all to you but pads for 370mm and 340mm rotors are interchangable. https://www.turnermotorsport.com/e/t...ke-Differences

Thank you all for the trove of information on this subject. I myself just purchased a set of the 370mm yellow's for my 2011 328i 6MT. I know I have the smaller parking brake shoe and wondering thoughts on keeping it and finding a matching drilled/slotted rotor or converting to the larger shoe for futureproofing?

Your post is not helpful why is it so hard to get info from you? Everything I’ve done to my 328i I’ve documented and shared on this forum openly not tried to keep secret only for those ”in the know” or who want to pay to get it done. Wouldn’t it be better for everyone if someone like you who knew the answer shared it rather than make that useless post? |
