FSC code from dealer

Hi there,

First post so go easy.

I recently had an I level update on my car from the main dealer(didn't have the I and tick on the nav screen), they got me the FSC code while it was there and updated the nav to 2019-2, I noticed yesterday that there's a new map out 2020-1, they didn't give me a copy of the code, I have the map downloaded on a stick, the code was described as a 2 year code, do I need the code to update or does the CIC know I've got two years and carries without asking for a code?, I've called the service dept and I'm waiting on a call to get the code if need be.

TIA

If they actually gave you a two year code then all you have to do is insert the USB stick and let it update.

I thought that might be the case, thanks for confirming.

I did searching but couldn't find anything specific.

Thanks
