High-pitched crickets sound near driver's door mirror, but only when going downhill

Yeah. I can't explain this one. Whenever I go downhill, regardless of if it's slight or steep, I will hear a high-pitched rattling noise resembling crickets on a summer night coming from this location (not my car):

It does not happen on flat roads, and it does not happen going uphill. The sound can be heard when the window is closed, but it is much more pronounced when the window is down. It makes me think that the problem is somewhere on the outside of the car near where the HK speaker would be. Either that, or something behind the mirror.

It's been happening ever since I bought the car, but I never bothered to investigate it. Does anyone have any idea on this one, or experience something similar?

Before anyone says it, yes, I have confirmed it is in fact crickets on a summer night, and not during the day or in a quiet theater.

You sure it's not coming from the engine?

Positive. It's extremely directional and can only be heard in the driver's seat from that area.

You tried squeezing the mirror cover onto it's frame?

I have a slight slack in my mirror cover and this kinda happens every once in a while for me. That was my fix.
