Otherwise, I don't think I've seen a female driving a 330i. Maybe once. Is it a coincidence?
I would hope that any man would not have pink frills anywhere is the car whatsoever. I have not seen any female 325/330i drivers here at all. I have seen female X3 drivers though. I wouldn't expect many 330i drivers since functionality outweighs price. Females naturally view cars in a different light than males. Males are the Tim the Toolman Taylor!

Its true that the majority of cars sold are the 325i, but on this board it seems like there are way more 330i's.

Your bf has a hidden agenda, he wants you to buy the 330 so that when you don't feel like driving and insit he drives, he can enjoy it

If you ladies have a 330 and ppl give you hard time about it or think that it is not your car, just remove the 330 badge and that should make it even more interesting.

I think the 325 sells about twice as many as the 330
I wouldn't be surprised if the 325 outsells the 330 by an even larger margin. I think the E46 split was 85% 325 to 15% 330. Don't quote me. I don't know where to find that figure again.

I agreed, even my salesman said so. 325 go off the lot much faster than 330.

I have a 330 with sport package and manual tranny. Mostly I just get envy from my guy friends. Strangers at the pump usually just say "nice car" or "nice ride".

Coming from a E39 540, I really never considered a 325. Once you get use to the power it's hard to turn back. I'll be getting the 335 next year when my lease is up.

Good thread Nikki.... Guess I must be an honorary female because most of the rationale that made me buy the 325i instead of the 330i is the same as most of the responses here.

I don't think it has to do with you being a female. Most people don't know the difference between a 25 and 30 and 25's are so much more popular than the 30 many people don't know there's a 30.

In fact I pulled up to a hotel valet over the weekend and these 2 guys in an Expedition were checking my car out and didn't even know it was a BMW until one of them walked to the front and saw the Roundel.

Yeah that's about 75% of them at least.

The 325i does outsell the 330i by a larger margin in the US. For April '06, it was more than 3 times as many 325's as 330's. Search for posts by 'FDMeloan' to get the exact numbers that BMW publishes for US sales.

I have a 330 (e46 though) but will be trading for a e92 335. I rarely see a female with a 330. I think most females don't care as much about performance and some of the technical aspects of a vehicle they drive and go by just looks alone. Oh yeah, and I get that too when someone asks you what you drive and I say a 3 series they respond with 'oh, a 325?'

Here's another question though... if a girl drives a car, like an M3, why do most guys automatically react like "Why does she need/want a car like that?" Like a female wouldn't know what to do with a car like that or how to appreciate it.
