Aftermarket HID lights on a 1 series

My daughters boyfriend has just bought a 1 series convertible and already got the modding bug [ blames me!] Anyway, he has bought some 55watt hid kit from HorizonLED on my recommendation but they flicker and if he turns them on main beam the radio dies!!

Any ideas? Didnt know where to ask.

I put hids on my gf 1 series coupe and they work fine. I bought a 55w error canbus digital set, never get the old style ones with the chunky ballasts, there shite.
