Drop in air filter clip fell into engine bay ( e92 n55)

Hi so I changed my air filter today and while I was putting everything together, one of the clips fell inside the engine bay . Should I be worried ? I personally think their won't be any issues with the air filter but I'm scared the metal clip might damage something down the run. Thanks

I cant imagine that it would cause any real problems. So long as its not stuck where the belt is or fell inside the actual intake I'm not sure what damage it could do. If you were really paranoid about it, then you could take off the skid panel under the engine and see if it fell all the way through. (just a ton of 8mm and 10mm screws)

You have no idea how many different things I've dropped in there that i didn't find and it never caused a problem

OP, take the belly pan off and familiarize yourself with the bottom of the engine bay and resolve the mystery of what's down there.

Clip will not hurt anything.
