Okay Ive been subscribed to this thread since the start and I am so confused now as so many people are having differnt issue and problems. I want the LED angel eyes but dont want a million errors.
What is the best way to go about it and what do i need?
*Angel eyes from Fishcake - check
*Do I get the HID's supplied by fishcake or the canbus HID's?. Any difference in qaulity, errors etc?
*Do I need an error cancellor? If so is Jlevisw one good or what other ones have rectified most errors?
*Also do I need a Turn Signal Bulb Socket?
All info on the best combo would be much appreciated.
I have 06 320i sport, Australian model so not euro

get canbus hids from here and make sure they are h7-http://highperformancebulbs.com/hipexebmwpla.html

you shouldn't need error cancelers

it should come with turn signal bulb socket and bulbs. you just need to bend out the contact points a bit to ensure good contact.

this is the best almost error free solution. to get complete error free you need to do some wiring to eliminate errors do to the angel eyes

Anyone tried adding a resistor in parallel to the HIDs? An additional 20w load should trick the computer to seeing 55w and therefore no error (hopefully)..

I was able to get rid of the parking light error, using a 75ohm/5w resistor.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442512

If I can figure out the part numbers, I want to make a wiring harness, so adding the resistors would be completely plug-n-play

I looked on realoem for some diagrams and here's a link that might or might not help. It's the only diagram that I could find on there that had any connectors that might be the correct one. If you find out which connectors you should use, please let us know!

Edit: I couldn't the get the link to work, but if you go to www.realoem.com then enter car info, then go to "vehicle electrical system" then go to "diverse plugs and connectors", there are some plugs listed that might work.

Try this link as well:

Still no errors with the Canbus system from highperformance. Sometimes when they first start up they would get an error but within a minute it goes away. Never used a seperate canceller and never experienced any flickering.

Ended up using the cig. lighter wire for my ignition source for the AEs. FYI the 60 led AEs pull 984mA so basically 1A of current.

Based on this no resistor will work to correct the 60 LED AEs bulb out error, if using the parking light to power.

The 60 LED AEs draw about 13w, while the parking light is only 5w. I would be concerned of damaging something (due to the overload) if powering the 60LED AEs from the parking light.

they seem to be fine. don't see damage. just errors. these errors can be coded away with the right interface between your computer.

I understand getting the canbus from here. Where should I get the actual light fixture with AE? I have regular Halogen without AE's.

I was always worried about the cheap cover on the back and I had it replaced twice. When both latches lock in it is ok, but it is kind of hard to do it. Otherwise water and anything else can get in the housing. When I get comfy in my garage I'm going to seal it with silicone. Odom did the same and even the seller agreed the design is cheap.
Leave it open to dry it out and then seal it with silicone and be sure the cover snap in. It is tricky, good luck.

I don't get any errors, after I "fixed" contacts on the adapter.

does any one know how to adjust the vertical focus and horizontal focus while the lights are on the car?

Well, I said "any" errors. Not even from the AE's.

Impatient to order a $30 rheostat so I made a box to dim the AEs down when the parking lights come on.

$1 25w 30ohm resistor
$6 project box
SPDT relay I had laying around
