Engine/Tranny mounts?

Hi All,

I’m going to be changing out my clutch soon, and wanted to upgrade the mounts as we all know the drivetrain is a little bit on the sloppy side. What are you guys running? This is for a street/daily so not looking to increase NVH much.

Car is 6 speed manual.

Any help/guidance is appreciated!

Thanks,
Travis

I went with Rogue Engineering trans mounts based on the many reviews I read. For me, I didn't notice much change, so definitely compliant enough for a daily driver. just not sure if it's better than OEM (although mine were definitely worn out.) I suggest you change trans fluid since you're down there anyway.
good luck

Do not get 034 motor mounts.

I have rogue tranny and revshift 80A motor mounts 6mt and I am very happy with them. No annoying nvh.

Might as well do gear box and diff fluid if old.

Are you upgrading your clutch?

Is this for an AWD E9x? Note that the AWD models do not have tranny mounts and only have a transfer case mount (at least for the 6MT).

Just wanted to clarify since we're in the XI/xDrive sub forum.

Number of reasons.

Many reports of them falling apart, specifically the bottom rubber part as it is not solid.

I took mine off after 4k miles and they were all loosey goosey.

I had them installed by a well known shop not that it matters, you can't install them wrong.

Every since the were installed it was a bitch the shift my car. I thought it was the uuc ssk + dssr I had installed at the same time or the stiffer tranny mounts. Nope! Went to install my VM single turbo and the turbine housing hit the strut tower. Was advised to try new motor mounts. Installed rev shift. Now the turbo fits and the car shifts great!

My buddy just drove my car for the 1st time in a while and the 1st thing he said, before talking about the single turbo, was how he can shift it again.

034 motorsport MM are junk. Stay away. Working on getting my money back from Turner now.

The Revsport 80A are awesome.

If you want some 034 I will sell you mine for cheap!

+1 on the 034 mounts. The same thing happened with mine and I removed them and got a refund from ecs tuning. I now have ADE mounts but its a bit too harsh for my liking. How are the revsport mounts though in terms of nvh?

Wow, that's really disappointing. I had 034 mounts on my Audi S4 and they were really nice, OEM quality.
Thanks for the input!
