I know this might be the wrong place but since we are talking about first times and all, I was wondering how soon I should fill up with my first tank of gas?

Anyone?

Take this advice seriously! I had a red '95 Thunderbird that I hadn't washed in a while and the dust (I live in central California for those 'in the know') on it was pretty bad...you know...from the driver's seat the hood looks almost white Anyway someone had come along and written "WASH ME" in huge letters on the hood and when I saw it I just knew the paint was etched. Sure enough after washing it, you could still see the shadow of those words! Now I take no chances...as soon as our cars look the slightest bit dusty, I'm out there with the bucket and hose. I really don't mind a dirty car too much because it's rare when they go too long without a wash. I DO mind some jackass reminding me about it
